‘Magnan – the finest champagne in the audio cable universe’

Installing Magnan signal cables into my system has had a profound effect; it has made a very good system into an absolutely special one. I am not going to wax lyrical about all the various aspects of their performance, not necessary, as they are reference grade in all parameters anyway, but concentrate on two particular qualities that make them unique in my experience.

Firstly the sound has a rightness to it, which is hard to describe, the tonality is completely natural with presence that means voices and Instruments sound like the real thing in front of you giving the emotion in the music full reign.

The other quality to mention is sound staging, which is quite remarkable, all ready having good three-dimensional imaging, (I use electrostatic speakers with subs) the result now is a truly holographic presentation when the recordings permit. Musicians and Instruments stay pin point sharp in location with space all around, you hear subtle information that was previously hidden before, this gives you insight to the relationship between musicians playing together and at the same time, especially with complex music. Listening to Zappa / Mothers – Roxy and elsewhere tracks ‘Echidna’s Arf (of you)’, ‘don’t you ever wash that thing?’ Zappa is giving his various signals to the band as they play at lightning speed; the feeling of this is palpable, leaving the performance and the music making complete sense, amazing! On Charles Mingus – Mingus moves opening track ‘Cannon’ the piano and bass are playing low notes that are very similar and are close together, on all systems I’ve heard this track until now, the piano and bass have blended together sounding almost like one, blamed the recording, they are now distinctly separated making them easy to follow individually, as it should be.”

I now hear music I’ve known for many years, taking me to the venue or studio, as if transported in time to be present at the original event, a sort of Dr Who effect.

These Magnan cables are the link to transform a capable system with balanced virtues into a true reference system, end of story.

The impact of these cables can be as big as changing any major component in a high-end system, which is testament to their potential ability, they offer true excellence.

There input is to resemble no wire at all.
